Dear Nab Raj ji, The nepaldalitinfo network expresses its solidarity to all positive actions that are aimed at eradication of caste discrimination still prevailing in Nepal. The initiation of a campaign coodinated by you is one of such positive actions. Your latest announcement is now posted in nepaldalitinfo website (please see below). I would like to suggest some points for your further actions:

I think, you need to name your organisation or the campaign. The suggested name can be: "International Campaign for Eradication of Caste Discrimination in Nepal (ICECDN)".
The word "Cast" should actually be spelled as "Caste"
Wherever possible, please avoid the use of terms "upper caste" and "lower caste". Continuing to use these terms recognizes them as two categories of castes, further perpetuating their existence.

Our aim is to abolish the prevailing division between "upper" and "lower" as undesirable categories, though we need to refer them indirectly to reflect the current status of injustice caused by the caste discrimination. Balancing this situation, the use of "so-called upper caste" may be used until a some point in time, when use of the terms can be abandoned completetely. Thanks. In solidarity, DP Rasali

Congratulation!!!
You have done great job. Your activities give high moral supports and solidarity for Dalit movement. It is also equally important to turn Dalit movement towards 'collaboration', exchange-issues solidarity with collective actions against discrimination based on caste or work and descent, injustice, inequality and poverty under the broader global social justice, human rights and democractic principles. For this, we all have to play crucial role, relation and transfer its fruits to real victims or traget people/community to whom we are focucing.
I welcome and appreciated your creative endeavor. I think it could be more effective if you link with some organizations in Nepal e.g. Dalit NGO Federation or any other local organizations for transfer supports in Doti or Nepal. There are several organizations have been working at international level on Dalit rights so it is also equally importance to link with them like INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION FOR DALIT RIGHTS (ICDR) London, or others Dalit Advocacy forums.

Dear Nab Raj

First of all, I must appreciate and thank you for taking this initiative to write your idea in this forum. As we all know, no matter which part of the world we are, no matter how nice job we have been doing, the pain of this caste discrimination is always with us. This ugly ghost is always chasing us in every moment of our daily life. The only difference is, some of us share among us and some don’t.

We have established an organization in Washington DC. The name is NASO Community, which stands for Nepali-American Society for Oppressed Community. The goal of the organization is to support create a casteless society in Nepal.

Coming back to your point, I feel that it is genuine thought to pressurize the government to put our issues on the table and this is one of the ways. To get our issues in the media is equally important. If you feel that NASO Community can support you in this goal, we would be more than happy to join hands with you since organization has a better impact than individual.

Dear Navarajiji,

 You are doing an excellent job and I wish if a small

portion of Bahun population work on eliminating this

evil, the dream of Dalits to live in more dignified

way would come true.

 While you meet the officials of German government I

would like to request you to raise the issue of German

Aid to Nepal not reaching Dalit community. GTZ is one

of the major donors of Nepal but Dalits feature least

in their aid programme. Our demand with them is if the

population of Dalits is 13% officially then they

should allocate atleast 13% of their development

budget to Dalits as they are the most deprived and

marginalized communities of Nepal.
